The Mongolian Stock Exchange (MSE) is conducting preliminary research on introducing derivative financial instruments based on mining products and securities as part of its strategic plan to develop the market in line with international standards.
As part of this effort, on November 7, 2024, representatives from the MSE visited the Shanghai Futures Exchange in China to learn from its operations and experiences. They met with Deputy President Lu Feng and Deputy Director of International Relations Yan Yuping of the Shanghai Futures Exchange and agreed to collaborate further. This cooperation will focus on the introduction and development of derivative financial instruments, capacity building for human resources, co-development of products and services, and market promotion.
The Shanghai Futures Exchange is China’s leading exchange for derivatives trading, handling futures and options contracts for a range of metals, including copper, aluminum, zinc, gold, and silver, as well as oil and chemical products.
